Terms of Service

01. Service description

SnapCost is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that lets freelancers and self-employed professionals:

• Photograph and digitize receipts and expense notes
• Automatically categorize expenses
• Generate expense reports exportable as PDF
• Create and send professional quotes and invoices
• Track client payments (paid, pending, overdue)
• Work offline with automatic synchronization
• Participate in the affiliate program and earn passive income

The service is accessible via web browser on all devices (desktop, tablet, mobile) and can be installed as a native app.

02. Account creation

To use SnapCost, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, up-to-date information when signing up
• Be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your country)
• Keep your login credentials confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Be responsible for all activities carried out through your account

An account can be associated with only one natural or legal person. Creating multiple accounts to bypass free-plan limits is prohibited.

03. Pricing plans and limits

SnapCost offers three access plans:

Free-plan limits apply per calendar month and reset automatically on the 1st of each month. Going beyond the limits requires upgrading to the Pro plan.

04. Payments and subscriptions

Payments are processed by Stripe, a secure third-party payment provider (PCI DSS Level 1 certified). By subscribing to a Pro plan, you accept that:

• 14-day money-back guarantee — payment is charged immediately upon subscribing. If you are not 100% satisfied, contact [email protected] within 14 days for a full refund, no questions asked.
• Automatic billing — your payment method is charged automatically at each renewal (monthly or annual).
• Cancellation — you can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Pro access remains active until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds — refunds are granted within 14 days of the first payment of a new subscription, on request to [email protected].
• Price changes — any pricing change will be communicated by email with 30 days' notice.

05. Affiliate program

Users with an active Pro subscription may participate in the SnapCost affiliate program:

• 10% commission on every paid subscription generated via your link, paid monthly
• 30-day cookie — the conversion is attributed if the user subscribes within 30 days of clicking your link
• Commissions on cancelled subscriptions are clawed back at the next payout
• Self-referral (using your own link) is strictly prohibited and results in suspension from the program
• SnapCost reserves the right to suspend or modify the affiliate program with 30 days' notice

06. Acceptable use

You agree to use SnapCost in compliance with applicable laws and not to:

• Submit fake receipts, fraudulent invoices or falsified documents
• Use the service for illegal purposes (tax fraud, money laundering, etc.)
• Attempt to access other users' data
• Carry out reverse engineering, scraping or any automated data extraction
• Resell or sublicense access to the service to third parties
• Intentionally overload SnapCost servers

Any breach of these rules may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

07. Intellectual property and data

• Your data belongs to you. You retain all rights over your receipts, expenses, invoices and reports.
• By using SnapCost, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process your data for the sole purpose of providing the service.
• SnapCost's code, designs, trademarks and content are our exclusive property and protected by copyright.
• You can export all your data at any time from your account settings.

08. Termination and account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from settings. On deletion:

• Your personal data is deleted within 30 days
• Invoicing data is retained for the legally required period (10 years)
• Your active Pro subscription is terminated immediately
• No refund of remaining days is granted except under the refund policy (§4)

SnapCost reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account in case of breach of these terms, without notice or refund.

09. Limitation of liability

SnapCost is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• 100% service availability (we target 99.5% monthly uptime)
• 100% accuracy of receipt OCR
• The service's suitability for your specific tax obligations (consult your accountant)

In no event shall SnapCost be held liable for indirect financial losses related to use of, or inability to use, the service. Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you have paid over the past 12 months.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. In case of substantial change, we will notify you by email with 30 days' notice. Continued use of the service after that period constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first. Failing that, the competent courts of Paris shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

As a European consumer, you also benefit from the protective provisions of your country of residence.
